COGNAC, BRANDY, ARMAGNAC & EAUX-DU-VIE

Grape based spirits are possibly the most elegant way to finish up an evening. Whether after a rich meal or as an after theatre nightcap, they offer a ceremonial way to reflect on your day, converse with close friends or possibly share with a new-someone special you just met who is also enjoying an elegant evening sitting at the bar.

Remy Martin VS - World famous nose of vanilla with a hint of licorice, ripe apricots and peaches, and wild flowers lingering on the silky finish.

Courvoisier VSOP - Courvoisier cognac has been famous world-wide since Napoleon introduced it in 1811. This Cognac is a light, less dry style, easily approachable for those just discovering the warm delicate aromas. Crushed grape fruitiness and a fuller palate than bouquet delivers plenty of complexity and richness.

Martell VSOP - Martell VSOP is distinguished with the medallion of Louis XIV gracing the bottle. Owing its exceptional smoothness to three centuries of secretive blending passed down through the generations this is a masterful example of mature cognac.

Hennessy VSOP - Honeyed fruit flavors punctuated by delicate scents of cloves and cinnamon spice inspire the rich and subtle balance and harmony of an accomplished cognac with a velvety finish.

Leriche VSOP - A supple, full-fruited Armagnac with a rich, smoky bouquet reminiscent of prunes that boasts a lingering, mellow memory.

Poir Williams Pear Brandy - It takes about 30 pounds of pears to make one 750 ml bottle of Pear Brandy. The pear nose is intense, the taste is strong but pure, and the aftertaste is clean. Ask for it on the rocks for something different.

Clear Creek Calvados - Although produced in Oregon, "Eau de Vie de Pomme" Apple Brandy is comparable to a fine French Calvados. Golden Delicious apples, in keeping with Normandy tradition, are aged in spirits in limousine oak Cognac barrels for at least eight years. The spirit retains the fresh, bright character of the fruit, but develops maturity and complexity from the oak, pleasing the Calvados and Cognac enthusiast alike.

Boulard Calvados Brandy - Apple aromas with a light touch of vanilla and a hint of oak imparts a lingering, elegant finish. This is the real stuff from France.

From your friends here at The Sitting Room, please remember to drink responsibly!
