RUMS

Rum, also known as Rhum, is a distilled alcohol made from sugarcane products such as molasses and sugarcane juice. The fermentation and distillation process result in a somewhat aromatic and sweet clear liquid, which is then usually aged in oak barrels. Spices and other flavorful additions have been popular around the world for over a century.

Barbancourt 15 yr - A great choice for those who like it rustic and simple. Light on smokiness, which is often associated with 15 year old rums, it is a true mouth-warming rum from Haiti.

Flor de Cana - Winner of "Best in Class" in 2007 at the International Wine and Spirits Competition London, this rum is produced in Nicaragua. Rich and warm in the mouth, it shows flavors of nuts and coconut shavings.

Pampero Aniversario - This rum is light and warm on the tongue and smooth on the entry and finish. Notes of cocoa, vanilla, leather and caramel on both the nose and palate. Made in Venezuela.

Rum is becoming quite popular these days and if you have a suggestion for a particular rum that you think would work well at The Sitting Room, please come in or leave a comment on the website. Please drink responsibly!
