Inspired by the cafés, bars and bistros of France and old-world Europe, The Sitting Room opened its doors in December of 1998 and has become one of Seattle's most distinctive and charming evening destinations.

Come experience our stylish, unhurried European ambiance where you will find great company, wonderful menu items and no televisions. Chic surrounds and warm countryside lighting offer a relaxing atmosphere. Sink into the antique sofa or sit at the authentic zinc bar with one of our signature fresh-herb or fruit cocktails. We also offer a carefully chosen selection of international wines, beers, premium spirits and light cuisine fare.

The candle-lit bistro tables provide a perfect setting for an intimate evening for two, or for getting together with friends. Art Nouveau light fixtures and music from around the globe create an atmosphere for great times in a place where you can hear the whispers of your companion or join in the raucous laughter and vibrant conversation with friends at the next table. During warmer days of Spring, Summer and Autumn our entire front wall opens up to the patio for a classic Seattle outdoor experience.

Nestled in the theater district in Uptown Queen Anne, we are conveniently located within walking distance to the Seattle Repertory, Intiman, Opera, Ballet, Symphony, and Seattle Center and Key Arena events. We enjoy offering our libations for all pre and post On The Boards shows - Seattle's premier contemporary performing arts theater located upstairs from The Sitting Room.
